First time I was ever accused of being "right".

 

It's a fair argument but still a strawman because you are not representing the argument correctly.

The argument is that Male and Female are sexes and are biological. Things like chromosomes, genitals etc.

Whereas Man and Woman are genders which are social constructs. If you look back in history, even back to cavemen times, society had been split by gender. In hunter gatherer societies, the males would go out and hunt while the females would stay back and gather fruits.

For all of history, the biological and societal roles have matched. You see tv and movies from the 40s and 50s and they would show the man going off to work while the woman stayed at home.

The difference now is that those societal norms are not necessarily the norm any more. Women can go off to work and earn more than their husband. Gay and Lesbian couples can have both working.

The society we live in has changed which means people can be different societal roles.

 

Fun fact: words can have more than 1 meaning.

What you described was the biological definition and used examples of other biological definitions. What "the left" are saying is that there is a societal definition which I explained above.

Like I said, society has changed and people are no longer restricted from things based on their genitals. As a result, a new definition was added.

Words evolve over time. What used to mean one thing in thr past, can mean something different now and a third thing in the future. For instance, pudding used to only refer to sausages (ie black pudding) but it evolved and now means loads of different things.

 

You started a thread called "Woke Culture" to complain about things you didn't like instead of being aware of social injustices. Don't talk to me about changing words to fit agendas

Thank god DEI is finally being exposed as the joke and money grab that it is. Corporations are dropping it like flies. Universities are waking up to the destruction that is has caused. Took 4 years to long but at least it is starting.
