Sorry, I thought the same thing, but there is not any "Right to Vote'" clause or section in the Constitution.

    An earlier post, not by me, but I have checked it out, it's correct;

Voter ID would help prevent one person voting multiple times and votes made by unregistered people. If someone is willing to give their vote to someone else, a proxy, then they lost their right to vote. If the registrar gets two votes with the same ID then that gives them a point to start investigating fraud.

I believe they wanted to do that, but it was not implemented.

I am really curious as to how all this will play out, if any changes are made at all, to stop illegal voting.
Dems are bent on keeping the system in a muddle lest their motives and deeds be publicly exposed.

Please elaborate on how it should be implemented.
    1) what is the format, a picture ID cared or a number such as a SS?
    2) when and how would identity be verified, and by who?
    3) how are you going to get all the states to agree?
    etc.

Anyone who is lazy to vote, to determine who will govern over his or her life for the next 4 or 5 years, is not worthy to be a citizen. Being a member of the community which is called town, country, nation, whatsoever, gives the person rights, but also responsibilities. The greatest of these responsibilities, is the "right" to choose who represents you. If you cannot be bothered, then don't be; but, if you are, get your ass up from that couch and go to the voting centre, and ensure that no fraud is possible. It is basic!

It is so basic, and it has been implemented for so many years in so many countries, I find the questions ridiculous' but I will answer.
Each voting centre is manned by representatives from all parties.
Each representative has a copy of the list of the voters for that centre.
The voter walks in, with his ID, and goes to an official who also has a list with the names of all voters for that centre (NOT representative from any party).
The official checks the ID, finds the name in the list, and gives the ID and the list to another official who loudly says the name "John Smith" for all to hear and strike off their lists.
Anyone representative, at any point after that, may request and see the ID and the copy of th official list where the name has been striked off.
The voter walks behind a booth, votes, comes back, receives his ID and walks out.
Yes, a little more than picking your ass up from the sofa, but everyone, everywhere, thinks it is worth it -- except some Americans!!!

P.S. So, two officials per centre, one policeman, and volunteer representatives from the parties. If anyone thinks that the procedure involves some intrusion into their "privacy"... I am sorry to say, they live in a different world than the rest of us.
