A grubnaq is a unit of measurement. It is equivilant to 352.67x10^-78 orgsbleeks.

Here I always thought that Pi is equal to 22 divided by 7.

    I guess that settles it!
No way one can argue with an absolute like that.

After thirty +/- years in health care I learned to appreciate the metric system. When I remodeled the upstairs master bedroom (house is over a hundred years old), I bought a ruler and tape measure in metric because it made it easier than dealing with fractions of inches. Of course I still used English measure to put the studs at 16 inches on center and to get the correct sized doors and frames along with windows (Lowes (sp) and Homedepot don't know metric, at least not in the USA).

If there's an Imperial gallon, is there an Imperial quart? Or is that the liter?

There are 4 quarts in a gallon. That's why they're called quarts.

    4 Imp quarts = 1 Imperial gallon
    4 US quarts = 1 US gallon
    4.55 litres = 1 Imp gallon
    3.8 litres = 1 US gallon

Sheet of plywood ... 4'x8'x12mm ... go figure that one.

    Pi is a ratio. Dia : Circumferance = 1 : 3.1416

The ratio applies whether you use inches, meters, parsecs, grubnaqs, or in your case, cubits.

It's not quite, but for most practical purposes it's usually close enough.

Unless you're planning the trajectory of a lunar landing module, which I personally am not.

Back in the mid 1960's there was a push for the USA to go metric.
(though there is that attraction to go Cubit!)

Wish I was the one in charge, I would have had the USA join the rest of the world in a heartbeat.

On a lighter note PC, want to take a guess at how many readers of your post Googled "grubnaqs" ?

Thanks for that. I thought that Imp was short for Imperial. Why is there a difference between Imp and Imperial? Then an Imp quart is a liter? And I thought we had it bad with cups, pints, quarts and gallons.

As for the plywood, 12cm +/- a few millimeters would be a 1/2 inch. Here we deal with 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch thick sheets of plywood.

I for one did not Google "grubnaqs". There is way too much esoteric info in my head already.

    e^(i*pi)+1=0
which leads to the fact that 'imaginary' numbers can be represented by a real valued oscillating function
also sqrt(-1) appears in a lot of real physical phenomena
