Do you still pay for movies or do you stream?

I cut the cord this year and now stream video vs paying for services. I enjoy the freedom and savings!

Stream mostly. Subscribe to most of the services and have cable too. If they don't have what I want I'll buy them on Amazon.

I use my bff's Netflix and for everything else, torrents. Have a pretty sweet setup with Radarr, Sonarr and Lidarr.

Amazon for streaming, torrents for porn and obscure movies.

I stream/DL most movies unless its something I really want to see in the movies theater. The last movie I think I paid to see in theater was Avengers: Endgame.

I stream: Netflix, Hulu (w/ STARZ & Showtime), Amazon Prime (w/ EPIX), CBS All Access, DC Universe, Disney+ & Quibi.

Have AMC Stubs A-List (currently suspended) for the movie theater which includes 3 movies a week.

I have to say that I once bought movies on DVD and now Blu-ray because you get a commentary by the makers and very often bonus material like interviews and documentaries. I bought a 4K restored Blu-ray of Lost Horizon and found a docco on Frank Capra. The Errol Flynn, Robin Hood had a docco on Michael Crutiz. Depends on what you want....

I've been going with digital copies on VUDU lately and those often come with the extra content.

If it's something out in the theaters and I'm interested in it, I'll go watch it there. Otherwise it's streaming and if it's not on anything I have then I'll torrent it.

Well... You have to pay to stream typically, so... yes and yes.

    hehe.... had to... sorry...

I still go to the theaters (when COVID doesn't have them shut down), still buy movies (last one was Frozen 2), and stream (various)... I'm a sucker for GOOD RomCom, anime, Resident Evil, Star Wars, Disney and GOOD Slice-of-life plots.

I torrent, and I go to the movies.
Movies that I think will be good I want to watch in a movie theater, with the mental focus and dedication I can feel there.
Movies that I don't take seriously and watch for a laugh or a "cheap thrill" I download and watch. The same with old classics that I wanna rewatch, and tv-series.

The most recent movies that I actually paid for were "Joker" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". I usually will just pirate films, but my NAS was down for a few weeks and I really wanted to see them.
