    I have never drunk this coffee, but on a trip with my sister we tried kopi luwak coffee. The taste sensation is very mild and it is overpriced. It makes more sense the novelty and its processing, because its taste is not for that price.

    I think what's happening to lot of businesses today is they are getting too caught up with the whole "We are not only selling a product but we are are also selling a story behind it". Sometimes the story is to do the right thing for our planet and sometimes x% of our profits goes to some worthy cause. Sometimes it's about some culture of some exotic foreign land. More and more consumers now like to believe they are buying a product which is responsible, environmental friendly and more importantly some poor kid wasn't abused to make the product.

    While these are all good things, a lot of businesses tend to focus on the story too much and not the actual product. They forget no matter how good your story is, you need to have a good product first. Your story should compliment your product and not the other way round.
