It's not too late to start. I started my list long after I'd started my sexual life, and happily I was able to fill in the blanks. Even a partial list (especially with names and other details filled in to the extent possible) helps one remember details of each encounter or person, which adds to the enjoyment, and helps one set goals. And when you find threads like this one, it's great to be able to share the numbers : ))) .
