As I get older I feel like cartoons just aren't what they used to be. Being on the back end of the millennial generation, I fondly remember waking up in the morning or getting home from school and just watching the best cartoons. Mine was Batman the Animated Series.

Can't really say I have a favourite. I used to watch quite a bit of TMNT, and some of the old Hanna-Barbera cartoons, but that was in lieu of actually having anything to do. I got glassy-eyed on the couch, wasting time more than anything else. I have more of an appreciation for things that came out in the 2000s and early 2010s, like Kim Possible, Generator Rex and Justice League Unlimited. Whether that's because I was old enough to understand the draw of a serial format, or whether it's because the plots were genuinely more engaging for me regardless of my age, I don't know.

Gargoyles were top, shame they lasted only 2 or 3 seasons.

90's Simpsons is definitely the best. Definitely a lot of great shows, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of my memories are skewed with nostalgia.

Batman: the Animated Series and Gargoyles. Both are connected. Xanatos on Gargoyles according to an interview with the creators is not based on Lex Luthor or an evil Tony Stark but Bruce Wayne.
