I was wondering if you ever was going to post her Walter. After you showed her to me in private I was hoping you would. I even have one up on people I know how old she is. lets see if someone else can guess her age? :)

I would say child first because if you had the dog already he would think something is invading his space and might not like it at all.

I was hesitant to post the picture of Princess Gracie May.
She is a beast and she is under age 18.
I figure I have enough grace points to get away with an underage post.

Well lb49, I tend to think that it depends on rather the dog is a puppy or an adult. A puppy is just to rambunctious to be around infants. Where's an adult dog is usually more mellow and can be trained that the child is a leader of his pack as it were.

(kain,) We also had a dog that would talk! We would ask her questions and she would kind of answer us back, in a modulated tone that mimicked our questions, for instance. When we were eating potato chips (crisps) We would ask, "Say," do you want a potato crisp(chip)? "Say," would mimic back something back that would clearly match the question, "I wanna potato chip, it was a bit guttural, as "Say" didn't have a proper human voice box, but nevertheless, that is how she would communicate with us! There were times when "Say" might initiate the conversation, perhaps she wanted to go out of doors, she would get right in you face and tell you exactly 'what' it was that she wanted. There was no mistake about that at all! "Say" could talk (she sounded a bit like Scooby Doo but was not a cartoon!) The only times that I ever heard her bark, were when the Postman was delivering the post, She did not care for any member of the Postal Service! "Say" was capable of this type of "talking her whole short life of ten years!" :) (When we traveled "which was a lot" She would stay at Gram's!) ;)

Pssst! My brother brought her home when she was just a wee pup. He initially, named her "Satan" because she was black and had very large parents, at his age, he knew next to nothing, about sexing animals and her demeanor never did match her name, so long story short, she was more aptly renamed "Say-Say!" :D
