The joy of being a chef can almost equally be attributed to the sacrifice attempting to perfect your craft. Spend 70 to 80 hours per week trying your hardest to please people you've never met. But nothing compares to bringing joy to those you love.

Here's a little sampling of what we've had over the last couple of weeks. Both at home as well as meals I was able to make for us while I was working.

    Enjoy!

Chicken and potatoes with blue cheese sauce, a glass of wine and organic apple for dessert.

CHICKEN AND POTATOES WITH BLUE CHEESE SAUCE

    INGREDIENTS

100 gr. blue cheese according to preference
    150 gr. of potatoes
    1 chicken breast
    1 garlic
    1/2 onion
    150 ml. evaporated milk
    Oil

    PREPARATION

1.- Peel and chop the potatoes in the microwave at maximum power until they are soft, about 10 minutes. Check the consistency with a fork.
2.- Cut the chicken breast into small, easy-to-eat pieces. Fry in a frying pan with a little oil until golden brown on the outside and tender on the inside.
3.- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the blender and blend. Then, in the same frying pan and with the same oil in which you cooked the chicken, add the chopped onion and garlic and cook over a low heat for 5 minutes.
4.- Add the blue cheese cut into pieces and the evaporated milk to the frying pan. Mix and cook over a low heat until the cheese melts.
5.- When you have the consistency of a sauce, add the potatoes, mix and cook for 3 minutes over a low heat.
6.- Add the chicken, mix and cook over a low heat for two minutes.
7.- Serve on two plates and add a little natural tomato on one side of the plate. It will add juiciness to the chicken and decorate the vision with a little red colour.

There are many things to try and experience in France.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
I have already saved this recipe and many others from Athenea, I want to make it. Impressive. Simple and easy recipes, quick to make, but very tasty. I have prepared several of these recipes and they are very good. :):):) The taste of Athenea on my table. ;););)

Chicken with potatoes is a very good flavour, but the cheese sauce makes this combination a different and tastier dish, a new flavour. I want to try this recipe, I just need the milk and cheese, I don't have any at home.

Don't forget to add some fresh tomato to the side of the dish when serving it at the table. The flavour of the dish is very pleasant but the tomato gives it a little juiciness and the colours of the chicken, potatoes and sauce are very smooth and the red of the tomato adds to the brightness and cheerfulness of the dish. The presentation of a meal is very important, it makes a meal more appetising because the first impression, the first look prepares the mouth for the meal. Even if the meal is an everyday meal, a small detail in the presentation shows the enthusiasm you have had in its preparation and that the person to whom you offer the food you have cooked is important to you :)
