    The issue was not her actions or the cartoon (that was a little issue-like but not huge). Unless I missed this, no one addressed this ref has been banned from multiple major tournaments because he DOES have one rule for men and one for women.

    I think that you have put your finger on the scale in her favour, my friend - and as anyone can clearly see, she hardly needs help in that regard.

    But I couldn't agree more with your point, and I liked how you made it.

    That Ref (or ump or whatever they call them) has been banned from the French, Australian or both at this point.

    Grade school deflection - the issue was sportsmanship, not 'let's blame the official'. So where'd you learn that tactic, my friend ? :)

    That is another issue though. I dont want to end up in rant at 1230 at night. Suffice it say I dont see the need for "proper sportsmanship" or this "deference to umps/refs". Hell. I grew up watching McEnroe trying to almost kill them in the 80s.

    It is a side issue that the Refs/Umps in many sports have gotten so high on power that to even question them is a sin.

    Anyway my friend, there needs to be rules and decorum. I understand your position - and there needs to be individually-owned sportsmanship too.

    She's Hillary Knight, from Palo Alto. She's an amazing athlete, plays for our Montreal Canadiennes team here, and for your USA National Team as well.

    And - you could safely show her off in polite company. [​IMG] [​IMG]

    You've got so many great athletes there (Auston Matthews on the men's side, eg - best player for Toronto) so I can't see why you sometimes pick the ones you do, who are to be the shining examples to the World of America's sports heroes.
