There's also disagreement on focusing on the US when China exists, and they make the US look like saints.

When climate stops changing, it will be because the earth is devoid of life, plants, and air. Climate on earth always changes.
It's been hotter, it's been colder.
It's been wetter, it's been drier.
It's been calmer, it's been stormier.
The seas have been higher, the seas have been lower.

But in the short time that mankind has been on this planet, no one has ever monetized a doomsday religion as well as "climate change"

Should we have trusted, in hindsight, Tobacco? When their "studies" proved smoking was totally safe?

If not why do we trust Oil Company backed studies that dispute CC?

Industry has proven it cant be trusted to "self police" and "do its own research for the public".

I trust the guys who are at Universities, over the guy that Exxon or Winston hired to "look into it".

"Now"? Looks a lot like Tobacco company studies for decades if you replace government grants with "Corporate Funding".

Can we trust the Science Industry to "self police" and "do it's own research for the public"? After all, it's looking more and more likely that Covid19 came out of a lab after gain-of-function research, you know, where scientists purposely play mad scientist and make viruses more lethal.

Whataboutism at its best. No one ever said it may not have originated in a lab, at least in the legitimate science community. They were focused on stopping spread, not "ALL HANDS ON DECK! LETS INVESTIGATE IF IT IS FROM A LAB AND ONLY THAT!".

The Oil Company studies? "Work Product" claims hiding the data sources. Tobacco did the same. If there is proof? You dont say "trust us it is there. But those are R&D secrets. Just trust us it is there.".

Those reports are a lot like the Doctor that set off the "Vaccination causes Autism". Turns out his "study" just deleted data it did not agree with. Because he was paid by a lawyer on a suit to prove it.

That is the "norm" on a lot of 'studies'.

MSG = Bad for you, causes adverse physical reactions. 100 % FALSE. the Dr. who did the study had the results he wanted b4 the tests started. He manipulated everything in order to prove his point to the degree of absurdity, but that didn't stop the misinformation from spreading like wildfire.

Cyclamates = Causes Cancer. Again FALSE. Study did show there was abnormal cell reaction, but only after the mice were given a doses that were 6,000 times what the average daily intake would be. All these 'test" were supported by the sugar industry, of which, they had no investment or $ in the creation of an artificial sweetener at the time. Then, when they did invest $, Saccharin and Aspartame came into being and all tests (until recently) showed them to be "safe". How convenient.

How about Coffee? since the 50's it has gone from good for you, bad for you, good for you, bad for you, etc.
I remember being told the change 5 times in my life.

    The list goes on.

I do not think they did any research at all. It's been known for a long time smoking is not good for you. I had read a book about Pocahontas. About one-fourth of the book was foot notes, and sources. While the main subject was Pocahontas, it did get a little off topic at times. Maybe it was to give the reader a better overview of times back then. Anyway, Pocahontas had ended up marrying James Rolfe, and this is where it got off subject a little bit. Rolfe was the first successful tobacco planter to challenge Spain's market control over tabacco after he was able to develop a smoother (as opposed to harsh) burning tobacco. It was a result of that which made smoking very popular in England. Autopsies done to people who heavily smoked showed lung damage. Also King James (yes the bible version one) hated it so much, he even tried to ban it in England.

That is not true at all. Many were already saying coming from a lab was a "conspiracy theory."

Look up the "Lancet Letter" in which 27 'scientists' proclaimed the lab leak a conspiracy theory.
"We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin."

Even Farcebook "fact checkers" used that letter for a reason to proclaims posts on the site to be "misinformation," or "false."

So this is what I have heard, and have been hearing. It likely "naturally existed" and this specific variant could be lab created.
