But now you think he is a racist, fascist and sexist. Where did you get this opinion.

You need to be honest with yourself. Lets say you thought he was "bullshit used car salesman", but now you think he is racist, fascist and sexist. What changed other than that was what you were told to think.

Nothing changed. And please don't start this "told what to think" crap. We don't need this here, it has destroyed enough forums.
You don't like my politics, that's fine, you're certainly not obliged to.

As to Trump, my opinion of him hasn't changed at all. The only thing that changed is that now he is the President, and that, my friend, is a very dangerous situation.

I'm curious, but where did I ever say that he is "racist, fascist, and sexist"?

(not that I would disagree with that description, lol)

Hitler, Lenin and Stalin were ALL SOCIALISTS! Does anyone think they were of "normal psychological" make up? If socialism is so great, why are all these illegal immigrants fleeing socialist governments around the world. Nazis are socialists. Communists are socialists. Facsists are socialists. Anyone who supports socialism IS A NAZIS! If that is the way of the democratic party, then to hell with them!!!!!!

My family on my fathers side were executed by Stalin because they were the tenth person in the line. Stalin starved twenty million Ukranians by sending in the army and confiscated ALL food from the farms. He then sealed the borders. Anyone trying to escape was killed on the spot. I HATE COMMUNISTS!!!!! To hell with McCarthy! This is personal, very personal.

You have my condolences, but seriously, take a chill pill. I don't want the forum to be the cause of somebody having a stroke. Please.
I don't like communism any more than you do. Stalin killed more people than Hitler, but people tend to overlook that.
But blaming everything that you percieve to be wrong with your country on the Democratic party is absurd. Yes, I agree, they're idiots, but no more so than the butt holes on the other side of the floor. Or the ass hole in the White House. Nor, for that matter, most of the politicians anywhere else in the world (Canada being no exception).
Your Democratic party is not that overly socialist, it just seems that way to you. From where I sit they're probably a bit right of our Liberal party.
It's all a matter of perspective.
And do try to not take things personally, because they are not. Personal, that is.

    ;)

To put this thread back on topic, so what is my political ideology?

I really don't have one. I vote for whomever best represents what I feel is important. And that would be:

I'm pro-choice, a champion of women's rights, and civil rights, I detest racism, and I want civilian oversight of the police.
I'm a fiscal conservative, I want less government across the board, less bureaucratic interference, lower taxes, and I don't believe in gun control.
And I absolutely detest religions. All of them.

So, what's the odds of ever finding a candidate that meets those parameters?

    Slim to none?

Mine is like yours with 2 changes.
I am pro-life "a champion of women's rights, and civil rights, I detest racism, and I want civilian oversight of the police.
I'm a fiscal conservative, I want less government across the board, less bureaucratic interference, lower taxes, and I don't believe in gun control".
Open to whatever religion you want to be as long as it doesn't lead you to do harm to others in the name of God or because it's 'right'.
( Though I acknowledge that will never happen).

you are right. I shouldn't take some things personally. With that said, there are some things I am passionate about. My apologies to those I have offended.

If I were to ever lower my sense of self respect, I would run for office. Just couldn't bring myself to being a political type.

One should never have to apologize for being passionate, and I doubt that you have offended anyone.

I'm independent. The left and right aren't even toxic anymore, they are nuclear. Chernobyl is less radioactive than the left and right.

I, but also the environment in which I live, my family and friends, practice a royal lifestyle and find the democratic quarrels rather problematic. I feel increasingly distrustful of the possibilities and institutions of democracy, because the control systems do not really work and the governing parties or even the opposition unfortunately do not process these grievances very effectively in favour of the citizens. This is a trend that we can observe worldwide. My family does not come from noble families, not at all, but we have a great sympathy in the order of a long government of a king or queen, which brings with it both national feeling and farsightedness. So their children and grandchildren will be trained throughout their lives for this responsible work. Of course, one could say, yes, what if the regent just messes up and is bad? So far, no monarchy that works against the people has been able to maintain itself in the world - and no democracy either. I personally agree with the ancient Greeks and their oligarchic idea of democracy. It is their way of life that I follow and with me a large part of my family. The philosophy, the joie de vivre, the way of working on and processing things. I am also convinced that religion is an important part of life. God is a wise partner to unload things that you can't solve on your own. Thus, I am not an enemy of democracy, but I consider democracy according to a platonic world view - as a temporal period not as an endgame or forecourt to paradise.

You are right about a democracy not as an endgame, but the USA is not a democracy. We are a Republic.
Therefore when anyone thinks that President trump is our "leader", with great power, they are mistaken.
Our Congress holds the power, and the voters of the country holds sway aver congress.
Congress has the power to stop the president on any decision he makes.

That's why I always have to laugh when I hear in the media how bad Trump is and how his decision changes the world. Finally, it turns out that the courts and the Congress have their possibilities to control the president - that's what they are there for. The USA is not a dictatorship. But left-wing media seem to mix facts and fictions in their delusions. It is easy to summon a demon, they have done that with Nixon, with Bush and now with Trump - it is always the same. I hope for the sake of the Americans, that they will intensively deal with the details and recognize the truth. Unfortunately, this is not in the newspapers, there we only find opinions.
