I'm older than dirt now but I'm glad I grew up in the time that I did.
The kids that are growing up now have no clue what the fuck is going on.

In the Sixties, Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel performed a TV special for Dutch TV (NCRV station on a music program called ‘ Twien’) broadcast for the first time on August 12th, 1966. Most of the shows were recorded in Hilversum (where the TV stations and their studios were located) but not this one.

This magnificent live performance was recorded in Haarlem, in the De Waag Theater, in June of 1966 ...

An Alaskan man, Tyler Ivanoff, has found a letter in a bottle from the Sixties :

It's written in Russian, so he posted an appeal for a translation on his Facebook page. It transpired that the letter had been written by a sailor on board the Russian ship 'Sulak' :

" Sincere greetings! From the Russian Far East Fleet mother ship VRXF Sulak. I greet you who finds the bottle and request that you respond to the address Vladivostok -43 BRXF Sulak to the whole crew. We wish you good health and long years of life and happy sailing. 20 June 1969. "
