    By dictionary definition:

An emeritus is a retired college professor or minister. When a professor stops teaching, she might be given the title of emeritus, which basically means she can still be remembered as a successful professor. The word emeritus, pronounced "eh-MER-ih-tus," is Latin, originally meaning "veteran soldier."

The Monk in the blue apron is what is known as a Slisse Emeritus.......meaning a retired Monk that never worked a day in his life.

True story. Lady I know owns a farm, with lots of sheep. Every now and then she'd lose one. OK, there's lots of wolves and bears around. So they get a pair of Great Pyrrenese, which she explains are LGD's. I'm thinking enough of the political correctness, they're dogs, they're all gay, get over it. But no, LGD stands for "livestock guardian dog". Who knew? Anyway, one day they find a very deceased and half eaten sheep. And 2 rather guilty looking large white dogs. Yep, the LGD's had themselves a little snack.

LGD's still need close supervision and training!
You just don't plunk them down in a field of prey animals, and say,
    "GUARD, MY SHEEP!"

There is no accountability anymore! o_O
