This one should be pretty easy for the muscle car guys and girl. This is a 1967 Pontiac GTO. It was not ONLY a GTO but the factory also put a name on it. they did not make many of them so tell me what it was called.

I know it's not General Lee (just ask Bo and Luke Duke) and 'car' would be too obvious, so let me do some thinking.

Nope not hardly but all the restored ones had the name on it so I had to find one that wasn't restored. :)

It had a big block 396 motor in it. GM came out with it to compete with the mustangs and corvettes at the time but they really never took off with the public and did not sell well. They are worth a lot of money today though if you can find one with matching numbers...BIG MONEY

I can tell you why it didn't sell. Just look at it. Who wants to buy a rusted hunk of metal.

It was a 400 Allison, a 396 is a Chevy motor. Some of them had a Judge decal on the 1/4 panel.
(I think the one in the picture is a bit later than '67?)

    ;);)

Here is that same rusted wreck you talked about. I told you she could be beautiful again and the name is on the quarter panel. :)

no it is a 67. you are correct about the motor though. The 396 was in the 69 chevell. I'm not sure what the GP had in it but isn't it amazing how all 3 bodies looked alike. I am not saying you are wrong on the year I think they made the same body styles for 5 years so it could be up to a 72 model. But what I read about this one it was a 67. :)
