    That's only a reflection of how the school curriculum is being "dummied" down. The smart students get punished and the least smart get a free pass. Then they vote democrat/liberal/communist/left wing/fascist//socialist.

    Between you and I, not much differance at all, or Michigan for that matter.
    Regional accents and nuances are one thing, functional illiteracy is something else.

    Yeah, Futurama was good too. Ren and Stimpy was a kid's show that was written to entertain adults too by writing over the heads of the younger audience.
    All the other ones were written for adults.
    So I don't put R & S in the same category.

    I thought Ren & Stimpy was an adult show cleverly disguised as a kids cartoon, but then again, we were kids when we were watching it. And I don't think that much went over our heads, lol.

    Re-watch some episodes now. Even though I have no doubt you were a bit more worldly than most kids, I'm sure you'd see
    that you would get some of the references meant for adults you didn't catch as a youngster.

    Not really.

    I doubt that you would understand, but Canadian kids are born with a much more sophisticated sense of humour than the American counterpart.

    And the gap widens from then on.
