Election Disaster for Canada's NDP

    Canada's New Democratic Party (socialist) fell to fourth place in last night's elections - behind the Liberals, Conservatives,
    and the (nationalist) Bloc Québécois.

    This result is especially surprising since the election was held in October, the NDP's official colour is orange, and its leader wore his Halloween outfit.

    he'll suck up to Trudeau to gain relevance. Trudeau should wear his halloween face again, he's already been caught. It's better than looking like a girl.

    How so ? Balance of power ? Perhaps, I guess - the Bloc won more seats than the NDP, though.

    Trudeau won't work with the Bloc, doesn't have to. The NDP are just a more nuts version of the Liberals - OK, quite a bit more nuts. Singh will tell Trudeau what he wants and Trudeau will say yes to some of it - enough of it - and Singh will keep the Liberals in power, until it suits him not to. I'd give him a year, maybe 2 at the most, then we'll do the whole nonsense all over again.
    Six political parties and I've little respect for any of them.

    Nice - yeh, I get that. And I think that as a general rule, minority governments don't last long, anyway.
