Unfortunately people talk less about women's football soccer, even if I saw already some good matches.
The 2019 women's world cup is held in France from 7 June until 7 July with 24 teams.

So far the highest result was United States - Thailand 13 - 0.

With for all still 1 match to go, the following countries are already certain to go to "the round of 16":

    Canada - England - Germany - Sweden - The Netherlands - USA

They play today (against Jamaica) and they need at least (to be certain) a drawn to go to the round of 16 [they'll play tomorrow at 05:00 your time]

Same here, we play Netherlands tomorrow.

I don't think we have a catchy name like that for our team, though - 'Beavers' ? We'd never get away with it. :)

I hope you didn't pay for the 'catchiness' part of that. :) Actually, Vancouver's hockey team is called that - and they ikely did pay for it !

I did look it up and found

    Canuck

    Canuck

Canuck is a nickname for a Canadian who is mainly used by Canadians themselves to emphasize their nationality.

    It can also refer to:

Canucks, nickname for national sports teams such as the rugby team and the football team.
Vancouver Canucks, an ice hockey team from Vancouver, Canada
