Labor Day Bar-B-Que looked like that at the lake. 2 briskets, 2 pork Shoulders, 5 pounds of sausage, gallon of potato salad, and cole slaw, bread, three types of pickles and Dr. Pepper and beer to wash it down. 30 friends and neighbors to help us eat it. A good time was had by all.

What’s the real difference between a Yankee Zoo and a Texas Zoo?
On the cage, a Yankee Zoo will have the name of the animal and then the scientific name in Latin.
Whereas, a Zoo in Texas will have the name of the animal and the recipe…..!

LMAO. Only in Texas. Where and when it's in season and type of license and best caliber to use to harvest it.

Whenindoubt it was a chilly 85 degree here in northeast Harrison county today. Tomorrow morning they are talking 56 to 58 degrees. Yes I may well have to get the socks out of the drawer. Sure it will be cooler at the lake. It is about 36 days till deer season. There is some duck hunting to be done this next month first along with squirrels. Fresh game for the table.

Muff old friend most of the squirrel is fried and smothered in gravy or boiled and we have it with dumplings. No I don't cook them with the heads on. I don't do any brain matter because of CJD ( mad cow ). Now you gave me a idea shepherds pie made with squirrel. Sounds good!!!!!!!

Just saw that one this morning. Chad is great. He usually gives it to them with both barrels.
