    You still need a fucking UPS for backup power. If you had one a 5 minute power outage wouldn't affect you.

    That's what you said. A suitable UPS would keep you running for 5 fucking Minutes. After a couple of minutes you could gracefully shut down your PC to reduce risk of data damage.
