Reminds me of the first time I went to my ex-wife's parents house. The car window was open. I was getting books off the floor. When I sat up, this BIG doberman had it's head through the window. We just looked at each other, eye to eye. Her family came running to get the dog. I just patted him on the head. No problems. We got along great after that. Surprised the hell out of her father and brother.

 

Is this a cross between a bear and a dire wolf?

Belka and Strelka were launched into space in1960, aboard Sputnik 5, becoming the first living creatures to return safely after orbiting the Earth.

And they were characters in a fairy tale with a happy ending - following their landing, they appeared on radio, television, and in news magazines around the world. The pair were also chauffeured like royalty to meetings with Soviet citizens, politicians, and school children.

Strelka, in fact, went on to become a mother. One of her puppies was presented to President Kennedy's daughter Caroline, as a gift from the Soviet Union.
