I guess that you meant or D2O (like Neophyte said) or ²H2O? (both are correct as ²H = D)

    I'm happy you didn't use H2SO4
    :p

No, he's right putting the 2 before the H is much different than behind it as a subscript. Putting the 2 in front implies doubling the entire formula which we are not doing

I can see a bright future for Art History majors. They can toast each other with glasses full of H2SO4. skull_and_crossbones.jpg

Since the OP is back, perhaps it's time for him to (dis)agree with some postings here and -why not- give us a 2nd puzzle.

    Sorry for the delay folks.

Yes, the correct answer is 'F' and thanks for playing - congrats to those who got it, too !

That doesn't make any sense if the water source is "dripping" as shown.

A-B-C-J-L-F ... and I don't think it matters that it's dripping, as long as it continues to drip.

The law of Fluid Dynamics states that any fluid must seek its lowest level.
That level happens to be the pipeline from H to F but H box is blocked at the entrance.
Within the pipeline H to F the resulting pressure will be highest.
The box with the lowest floor to the required level ( by law) is F
So the resulting pressure will force the water up into box F at a greater rate than the flow from other boxes going downward.
    Do you see it now?

I didn't notice the input to D was blocked.
    F is the correct answer.

By law the rest of the boxes are irrelevant.
They are only in the picture to distract you.
The law and the resulting pressure is all that matters
